Role Overview

The customers in the Automotive market do expect more robust products, and our customer is expected to set the standard for a robust mechanical module design. The Mechanical Department is responsible for the mechanical functionality of the display module design.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • cooperate with other disciplines in the quotation phase and in project teams, and is responsible for the CAE analysis during the product life cycle of commercial projects. She/he operates fluently in a design team, interacts and aligns with other team members.
  • You will be responsible for product improvements w.r.t mechanical (thermal) module design by finite element simulations and validation.
  • Define and control of Baselines.
  • You actively contributes to the competence of module robustness, and takes ownership for this competence area and initiates and performs improvements and developments. She/he will contribute in developing new design/simulation capabilities and way of work, to improve the product performance and efficiency of the department.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in thermal CFD is added value, and might belong to the activities in the future as well.
  • Experience as mechanical engineer/CAE engineer in a product/technology development position.
  • Good knowledge of English is assumed; knowledge of German is preferred.
  • Team player with very good communication skills, and demonstrating ownership.
  • Strong interest in product design and innovation, able to set the direction in CAE simulations.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in mechanical CAE simulations (Ansa/Meta/LSDyna is a plus).
  • Bachelor or master in Mechanics.
  • Experience as mechanical engineer/CAE engineer in a product/technology development position.
  • Experience with CAD design is a plus (preferably in Creo).
  • Experience in an Automotive environment is a plus.
