Humberto & Leitza

We lived in Guadalajara, México. We both worked as a Engineers, our rutine was already defined:  go to work, go to the gym and on weekends do the groceries and visit family and friends.

Ordinary life, for ordinary people… It was not in our plans to leave México. We came on holiday to The Netherlands once, but we never imagined that some months later we would be living here.

When Humberto got the message from LinkedIn, we though that could be some kind of scam hahaha, but we already knew another colleague who was one of the first to move to work alongside Martijn. So we trusted. We talked about it and we said “Let’s do it, for the experience”.

From the begining Martijn explained everything and took care of most of the process, making everything easier. It took around 2 months, maybe, since Humberto had the first meeting with Martijn till he got the ‘yes’ from CarUX. He moved first, all the housing was already arranged, and from that moment on, Martijn has been a really important part of our experience. Always taking care of us.

After almost three years, we already bought a house and have new friends that are like family to us. We’re not gonna lie, we miss México and our family, but the life here is really good. Being in this side of the world makes traveling more easy and cheap to certain regions.

We are always grateful with Martijn and Solvès for giving us this once in a lifetime oportunity.
