Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Software engineer to design, build, and maintain modern WMS applications and applications that support our WMS solutions. We believe that we should embrace new technological possibilities, like using automated testing and AI. You will work closely with product owners, UX designers, and developers to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly web solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, an inquiring mind, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications and portals. Collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to implement functional and user-friendly interfaces. Translate business and user requirements into scalable web solutions. Ensure cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and accessibility. Integrate web applications with APIs and backend services. Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews, and documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues. Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and best practices. Support security, data protection, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimun 5 years of experiencein software development.
• Strong proficiency in modern web technologies such as PHP, Java and TypeScript modern frameworks (e.g., React, Tailwind, Spring Boot, Symfony).
• Experience working with APIs and backend integrations, preferably including OpenAPI knowledge and in integrations with (webshop) ERPs.
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills, an innovative and independent mindset and a critical eye.
• Experience in development including automated testing (unit testing, integration testing, load testing).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment using Scrum.
• Language skills including professional working proficiency in English.
• Ability to work at least 3 days per week from the Gorinchem office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing SaaS web applications.
• Experience in development using AI tools.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
• Understanding of UX/UI best practices.
• Experience with performance optimization and security best practices.
• Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, or WMS environments is a plus..
